Enjoy a half-day excursion to the UNESCO Heritage site of Sanchi known for its stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating back from the 3rd Century BC to 12th Century AD. The site of Sanchi comprises a group of Buddhist monuments (monolithic pillars, palaces, temples and monasteries) all in different states of conservation, most of which date back to the 2nd and 1st centuries BC. It is the oldest Buddhist sanctuary in existence and was a major Buddhist centre in India until the 12th century AD. Afternoon take a city tour visiting the famed Moti Masjid. This beautiful mosque has some great carvings on each piece of stone added. Continue with a visit to Lakshmi Narayan Temple situated to the south of the Lower Lake. This temple is devoted to Vishnu and his wife Laxmi and is also called the Birla Mandir. Conclude your day with a visit to to the well planned Tribal museum, where every visitor can connect via motifs and artefacts representing tribal lifestyle.

Proceed for full day excursion tour to the Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka, the site of South Asia's richest collection of prehistoric cave paintings. Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are UNESCO recognized heritage site prehistoric caves that preserve some fascinating paintings dating back to Paleolithic times. On your way back to Bhopal check out the impressive Bhojeshwar temple (Shiva temple, Bhojpur) that began its construction in the 11th century but was never completed. Enjoy full day city tour of Mandu and Maheswar. Visit the ancient hill city of Mandu, once known as the `City of Joy' and noted for its fine Hindu and Muslim architecture. Jahaz Mahal, situated between two lakes is an architectural marvel as it looks like a ship floating in the water; Hindola Mahal, Baz Bahadura's Palace are some of the worth visiting sights at Mandu. Thereafter continue your journey to Maheshwar, which was a glorious city at the dawn of Indian civilisation when it was Mahishmati, capital of King Kartiviryarjun. Today, Maheshwar is also known for its distinctive hand-woven sarees called Maheshwari. Also visit the Maheshwari textile weavers; the shop next to the workshop is great for souvenirs. The Ghats here is the other characteristic features that give Maheshwar a distinctive look. Evening enjoy a boat ride at River Narmada before returning to your accommodation.
