Arrival at the airport & check in to the hotel

On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our Tour executive, who will assist you with the transfer to the hotel. Overnight will be at Kota Kinabalu.

Transfer to airport

After breakfast transfer to the airport to board a flight to Sandakan.

Check - in & relax

On arrival transfer to the Resort located in the protected area rich in wildlife. The remainder of the day is free to relax, swim in the pool, or walk. Stay two nights in Sepilok.

Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary and Rainforest Discovery Centre

In the morning, you are free to relax, and after lunch, visit Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary for the 1430-hour feeding session and Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC. Before dinner, head to the flying squirrel platform to try your luck in spotting when they fly across the resort.

Travel to Abai

1115 hours depart Sepilok and proceed to a boat jetty in Sandakan. 1200 hours depart for a 1-hour boat cruise up the Lower Kinabatangan River, passing pristine mangrove forests and searching for wildlife.

Explore the wildlife along with night walk

Arrive Abai check in Abai Jungle Lodge and enjoy a guided night walk around the Lodge’s nature boardwalk, and search for wildlife. Stay two nights in Jungle Lodge (non-air conditioned).

Cruise upriver to Sukau

After breakfast, cruise upriver to Sukau, looking for wildlife along the way. Later, cruise on the Kinabatangan River.

Check in at the lodge

Arrive Sukau, check-in to Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge and have lunch.

Excursion to Menanggul River

1630 hours go on a river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to the Menanggul River in search of proboscis monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight at the Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge (non-air conditioned).

Ox Bow Lake

At 0630, take a boat trip to Ox-Bow Lake for bird watching and wildlife viewing. The rest of the day is spent at leisure, enjoying your activities.

Transfer to Sandakan Airport

After breakfast depart the lodge on scheduled overland transfer to Sandakan. Have lunch at a local restaurant and then be dropped off at Sandakan airport and board a flight to Kota Kinabalu.

Assistance on arrival

Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

Poring Hot Spring & Kinabalu Park

0700 hours pick up from the city hotel. Depart Kota Kinabalu for the 3-hour drive to Poring Hot Spring. En route, make a stop at Nabalu village to savour local fruits and to shop for local handicrafts. There is also a lookout tower providing views of the surrounding area and of Mount Kinabalu. Upon arrival at Poring proceed to the canopy walkway for a chance to observe wildlife and the trees from 100 feet above the forest floor. Afterwards take a dip in one of the soothing, hot mineral springs set in beautifully landscaped gardens. Poring also has an interpretive centre with information on the local flora and fauna. Proceed to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kinabalu Park. Explore the mountain gardens – home to many species of orchids, pitcher plants, birds, insects and butterflies – with your guide before returning to Kota Kinabalu in the late afternoon. Overnight at Horizon Hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
