Full Day South Island Tour

Today we visit Trou aux Cerf; a dormant Volcano with well-defined Crater. The crater has been alternately described as 300 and 350 meters in diameter and is 80 meters deep. Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. Later visit Grand Bassin, also known as Ganga Talao, is a crater lake situated in a secluded mountain area in the District of Savanne. Thereafter, afternoon visit Chamarel waterfall with seven coloured earths. Formed by the River St Denis, the waterfalls of Chamarel (“Cascade Chamarel”) have a height of 83m (272ft). In the South-West part of Mauritius, in the heart of a fertile valley, lies the Rhumerie de Chamarel. Situated in the vicinity of the "Coloured Earths of Chamarel", one of Mauritius' most popular tourist attractions and the place to visit while in Mauritius.
