Our Rajasthan Cycling Tour is an elaborate cycling expedition that ticks off all the popular tourist hotspots of Rajasthan and veers deeper into the less explored countryside to give you an authentic experience of rural Rajasthan its villages, its rustic people and its unique culture. This contrast between the royal and the rural, the opulent and the impoverished is particularly fascinating for a biker pedalling up and down the cycling trails of Rajasthan, and the itinerary we’ve drawn up lets you do it at a relaxed, leisurely pace.

DAY 1

On arrival at the airport, meet your Tour Manager who will assist with the transfer to the hotel for two nights stay in Delhi.

DAY 2

After breakfast guided sightseeing of Delhi. Enjoy a bicycle rickshaw ride through the old city’s busy, narrow lanes, and stop at a local spice market. Then visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Stop by Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the city’s largest Sikh Temple. Later visit Qutub Minar a World Heritage site, this is the tallest brick minaret in the world.

DAY 3

After breakfast transfer to the airport to board your flight to Udaipur. Afternoon assembles at the lobby for a short briefing by your Tour Manager on the entire biking trip ahead. Evening short cycling ride in Udaipur just to check your bikes and warm-up for the next day. Stay two nights in Udaipur.

DAY 4

We hit the road after breakfast and cycle through crowded streets to the city’s outskirts to see a bird’s eye view of Udaipur, its lakes and hills. Afternoon free to relax or explore the local bazaar.

DAY 5

After an early breakfast, drive out of Udaipur to avoid highway traffic before we hit the road for 55km of an exciting ride to Kumbhalgarh Fort and witness the sights and sounds of rural Rajasthan. Stay overnight in Kumbhalgarh Fort.

DAY 6

A relatively moderate day of cycling as we leave Kumbhalgarh for Ranakpur and visit Jain Temple famous for elaborate marble carvings. The road is mostly metalled but has a few rough patches as well. Stay overnight in Ranakpur.

DAY 7

Today we have easy cycling with a 75 km ride from Ranakpur to Korta. Biking through this region, we find plenty of reasons to stop for an up-close look at rustic chores and the lives of people. In Korta we spend some quality time with Rabari villagers in the evening. Stay overnight in Korta.

DAY 8

Today we cycle deeper into the heart of rural Rajasthan. The biking trail weaves through a pastoral landscape dotted with farms, mud huts, and small villages. We go off the beaten track and explore routes and visit villages. These village folks though poor, are simple and friendly. Stay overnight at Bhenswara Village.

DAY 9

After an early breakfast, we ride to the village of Bhadrajun. The biking trail winds through the Aravalli hillocks and there are a few uphill stretches that put your leg strength to the test. We do a quick tour of the Bhadrajun fort and then load the cycles on our backup vehicle and travel to Jodhpur. Stay two nights in Jodhpur.

DAY 10

Jodhpur is a sprawling city with many tourist hotspots that needs a day’s break from cycling. After breakfast enjoy a guided tour of Jodhpur and explore the architectural and magnificent marvel of Mehrangarh Fort and the surrounding cenotaph of Jaswanth Thada. Evening visit the Saddar Bazaar famous for textiles, spices and souvenirs.

DAY 11

We drive out of the city to avoid heavy traffic before start cycling toward Jaipur. The road here is mostly metalled and it takes us through a patchwork of villages and small towns. After a satisfactory ride, we travel by coach. Stay two nights in Jaipur.

DAY 12

We take a break from cycling today and visit some of the iconic landmarks of Jaipur. Start the day’s sightseeing with a visit to Amber Fort. Later continue to City Palace and the Observatory and take a photo stop at Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds, built in the 17th Century. Jaipur is famous for colourful markets filled with textile, jewellery and fantastic souvenirs so you’ll enjoy exploring the local bazaar in the evening.

DAY 13

We drive until the traffic thins out, then start the ride on a pleasant stretch of smooth road towards Ranthambore. This route winds through a beautiful countryside marked with farmlands, villages and small towns. Later board our coach and travel drive to Ranthambore. Stay two nights in Ranthambhore.

DAY 14

Enjoy a morning and afternoon canter safari around the game reserve with an estimated area of 400sq km. Spot various wildlife species of animals, birds and reptiles and if lucky, see a Royal Bengal Tiger.

DAY 15

We drive out to the countryside and begin cycling towards Agra. After a lunch break, we travel by coach to Agra, the home of the Taj Mahal. Stay overnight in Agra.

DAY 16

An early morning visit to the most impressive Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife. After breakfast check out and visit the impressive 16th century Agra Fort a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later travel to Delhi and your tour finishes by late evening with a direct transfer to the Delhi international airport.
