Taipei, also known as the city that never sleeps, has become one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities bustling with modern high buildings, amazing shopping, street markets, ancient traditions and temples. The National Palace Museum is its national treasure housing objects from China’s Forbidden City and is definitely not to be missed.

DAY 1

Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and transferred to the hotel. Stay two nights in Taipei.

DAY 2

After breakfast, we will take a tour of Taipei city and visit the impressive Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, National Palace Museum where 5,000 years of Chinese imperial arts and jade collections are exhibited, Martyrs’ Shrine of traditional architecture and change of Honor Guards, Xingtian Temple and photo stop at The Grand Hotel. The remainder of the day will be free.

DAY 3

Travel to Sun Moon Lake, located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. En-route stop and visit the famous Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple, dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Ita Thao Indigenous Village, Xuanzhuang Temple and Ci En Pagoda. Stay overnight in Sun Moon Lake.

DAY 4

Today travel to Kaohsiung, en-route visits Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery, the most famous Buddhist sacred place of southern Taiwan. Later visit and explore Love River, Liuhe Night Market and stay overnight in Kaohsiung.

DAY 5

Morning tour to Kenting National Park, located at Taiwan’s southern tip and the 37 miles of coral-rimmed shoreline along three sides of the park provide its main attractions. Stops will be made at Eluanbi lighthouse, Maobitou, Chuanfan (a sail) Rock and Longpan Park. Continue travel to Taitung via Southern Link Highway and stay overnight at  Chihpen.

DAY 6

After breakfast, enjoy the tour of the East Coast National Scenic Area, known as "Taiwan's last unspoiled land", stretches 170 kilometres down the east coast of the island. Weathering, erosion, and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms here. During the tour, stop at Xiaoyeliu, Sanxiantai, Shitiping (Stone Steps), Fanshuliao marble factory and the exhibition hall. The late afternoon continues to Hualien and stay overnight at Taroko National Park.

DAY 7

After breakfast visit Taroko National Park. Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful, narrow raving created by the Liwu river which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roar past gigantic marble boulders. Stops will be made at Taroko Gorge Gateway, Shakadang Trail or Lushui Trail, Swallow Grotto, Cihmu Bridge and Changchun Temple (Eternal Spring Shrine). Later afternoon travels through the Syue-Shan Long Tunnel (12.9 Kms) to Taipei. Stay overnight in Taipei.

DAY 8

After breakfast tour finishes with a direct transfer to the Taipei airport.
