DAY 1

On arrival at the airport, meet your Tour Executive at the arrival lounge who will assist with the transfer to the Negombo hotel. Stay for two nights in Negombo.

DAY 2

After breakfast, enjoy Negombo City Sightseeing. Negombo is located approximately 30kms north of commercial capital (Colombo) in Sri Lanka. It is located at the mouth of the Negombo lagoon. The wide sandy beaches and the safe seas are the major attractions and much more to see in the city. During the city tour, you can visit Negombo Fish Market & harbor, Dutch church & port, St. Mary’s Church and Hindu Temple. Negombo being a major fishing village in Sri Lanka is a must-visit place while you stay in Sri Lanka. You have the opportunity to take a walk among the numerous fish stalls while observing the procedure of Marketing by various people. Quite an experience, the time there will be loud and entertaining. Stay overnight in Negombo.

DAY 3

After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive to the heart of the Cultural Triangle and visit the fabulous Dambulla Cave Temples a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the kids can marvel over the huge lion’s mouth! There are five caves here containing approximately 200 statues of Lord Buddha. Afternoon to relax by the pool. Three nights in Dambulla.

DAY 4

After breakfast, travel to Sigiriya and Climb the iconic Lion Rock (UNESCO World Heritage Site) which stands about 650ft high and was a capital of Sri Lanka in the 5th century and a magnificent rock fortress. There is much to see here including water gardens, mirror wall, frescoes, Cobra cave and lion’s paws which will really grab the children’s imagination. From the top, there are fabulous views of the surrounding countryside and mountains in the distance. Afternoon, proceed for a wildlife safari at Minneriya National Park. The Park is based largely on a huge tank (reservoir) and serves as an important gathering place for Sri Lanka’s large elephant population. Besides elephants, Minneriya is also home to many species of mammals; like the deer, sambur and sloth bear. Thereafter continue your drive to Dambulla. Stay overnight in Dambulla.

DAY 5

After breakfast travel to Hiriwaduna to Experience the Village Tour, meet the farmers and their family; learn about their daily life and the organic and shift farming methods in Sri Lanka. The guided walk goes alongside Hiriwadunna Lake giving an opportunity to spot birds, land monitors as we cross a little jungle rivulet by Catamaran and reach farmers simple “wattle and daub”. The bullock cart ride through the paddy fields would be another very interesting experience that feels like you're travelling back in time when the early Sri Lankans used the bullock cart as the main mode of transportation. Return to the hotel with rest of the afternoon at leisure or check with the resorts if they have a bicycle available and enjoy the ride through the small back road of the village.

DAY 6

After breakfast check out and drive towards Kandy (UNESCO World Heritage Site) - this Royal city was the last indigenous capital of Sri Lanka. Kandy is situated about 1500 ft above sea level and is said to be the most picturesque of all the Sri Lankan cities as it nestles in the hills with the Lake at the bottom. On the way, visit a Spice Garden, where you can take a walk around the garden to see how they grow and learn about Ayurvedic medicine. Visit Temple of the tooth relic which is the most visited temple in Sri Lanka and is the only temple in the world with a tooth relic of Buddha. Enjoy a cultural dance show in the theatre. Stay overnight in Kandy.

DAY 7

After breakfast travel to Nuwara Eliya (“little England”) through the tea plantations - this is the best drive of your tour where you will see thousands of acres of Tea Plantations and some breath-taking views as you slowly climb up through the hills to get to “little England” which is over 6000 feet above sea level. On the way, you are sure to spot some Tea Pickers and also some Waterfalls. On arrival visit a Tea Factory to see just how tea is produced. Stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 8

We wake up early and travel to Ella, Climb the Ella rock and transfer by Tuktuk to visit the nine arch bridge which is one of the iconic bridges in Sri Lanka.

DAY 9

After leisurely breakfast travel to Yala famous for the elusive leopard. Evening free to relax by the pool and stay two nights.

DAY 10

We have an early start to enjoy the morning safari at Yala National Park - The most familiar is Block I (14,101 hectares) and this were established in 1938. Yala is famous for its big herds and a large number of Elephants, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Crocodiles, Mongoose, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, and many other animals. Later return to the hotel for breakfast. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 11

Morning travel to beach resorts, enroute visit Galle and enjoy a guided walk-through Galle’s historic 17C Dutch Fort a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Say three nights in Bentota/ Ahungalla. If interested you can visit nearby Turtle Hatchery, Enjoy a boat ride, fish Spa and cinnamon village (Not included).

DAY 12

DAY 14

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and travel to Colombo. The tour finishes after breakfast with a direct transfer to Colombo airport to board your onward flight home.
