Gujarat’s rich tradition of textile and handicraft, are unique styles developed as a culmination of hundreds of years of experience.

DAY 1

On arrival at the airport, meet your Tour Executive who will assist you with transfer to the hotel in Mumbai for an overnight stay.

DAY 2

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Elephanta caves. Hewn out of solid rock, the Elephanta Caves date back to 600 AD and attract more visitors each year than the entire city of Mumbai. No wonder: this place resonates with the spiritual energy of India. The cave complex is a collection of shrines, courtyards, inner cells, grand halls and porticos arranged in the splendid symmetry of Indian rock-cut architecture, and filled with exquisite stone sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. It is situated on Gharapuri Island in Mumbai's harbour, about an hour's boat ride from the Gateway of India. After the excursion, enjoy a half-day city tour of Mumbai and visit Gateway of India, Mumbai's most famous monument and the starting point for most tourists who want to explore the city. It was built as a triumphal arch to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary, complete with four turrets and intricate latticework carved into the yellow basalt stone. Drive through Marine Drive a windswept promenade, flanked by the sea and a row of art deco buildings. Marine Drive is known as the queen's Necklace as the glittering street lights seem like an enormous strand of imperious jewels at night. Visit Hanging Garden which is also known as Ferozeshah Mehta Garden, The garden provides a lovely sunset view over the Arabian Sea. The park was laid out in the early 1880s over Bombay's main reservoir. Evening return to the hotel followed by an overnight stay.

DAY 3

After breakfast, provide in time transfer to airport to board the flight to Rajkot. Arrives in Rajkot followed by a drive to Gondal, known for its beadwork, silver jewellery and brassware and also visit the cottage industries of Gondal to watch spinners, weavers and other artisans at work. Also visit the famous Naulakha Palace housing a collection of beautiful beadwork, brass utensils, silverware and hand-painted wooden toys from the princely collection. Once a princely state of Kathiawar, Gondal is a beautiful city in the Rajkot district of Gujarat. Founded in 1634, Gondal lies on the banks of Gondali River and is known for its palaces and historical monuments. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4

After having breakfast drive to Gir National Park. En route stop at Junagadh and visit the historical Uparkot Fort. Uparkot Fort is a magnificent Gothic palace built by the Nawabs and the colourful 19th-century tomb. After the visit, continue to Gir. Sasangir is situated in the paisley-shaped peninsula of Kathiawad in Gujarat on the south-western fringes of the Saurashtra peninsula. Famous world-over for being the only haven of the majestic Asiatic lion, the National Park or the lion sanctuary is a must-visit for nature lovers and is the main attraction of this place. Sasangir is also the natural habitat of some exotic flora and fauna of this peninsular region. Important reservoirs like the Nalsarovar Lake provide much-needed water for the flora and the native animals. Sasangir also has some dry deciduous and tropical thorn forests and an evergreen corridor along the riversides. The common variety of trees here are teak, laburnum, acacia tendu and bael. DAY 5

Drive in the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park. Gir in Gujarat is a deciduous forest and is the last abode of the Asiatic lion. Besides, the forest also has a thriving panther (leopard) population. It also is home to a large population of chital or spotted deer, sambar, antelope, chinkara gazelle, chousingha (the world's only four-horned antelope), wild boar and other wildlife. Besides, you will also see a large number of avian populations on the game-drive trail. Overnight at the Gir National Park.

DAY 6

After breakfast drive to Bhavnagar. Arrive and check-in at the hotel. Later visit Bhavnagar. Bhavnagar, a coastal city, was the capital of a former princely state Sihor. It was founded by Bhavsinhji Gohil in 1723 AD. A transitional port with a natural harbour, it has a locked gate to provide for the floatation of ships in receding tides at the concrete jetty. Bhavnagar present various visiting attraction options including Gandhi Smriti, a complex attached to a clock tower, situated in the heart of the city; Takhteshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva named after Maharaja Takhtasinhji; Barton Library and Museum displaying Old books, manuscripts, rare coins, arms and armour belonging to the rulers of Bhavnagar. Overnight at Bhavnagar.

DAY 7

After breakfast excursion to Palitana to visit the enormous compound of approximately 863 Jain temples. From here a flight of steps leads to a cluster of 863 hilltop Jain temples built over 900 years. On a moonlit night, these marble temples invoke the vision of fantasy land. The deities in the temple are studded with gems and jewels. These can be reached after one and half hour of climbing on foot. Overnight at Hote

DAY 8

After breakfast, travel to Vilavadar. Afternoon, visit the Vilavadar National Park, famous for blackbucks amongst other migratory birds. On arrival check into Hotel for Overnight.

DAY 9

After breakfast, travel to Ahmedabad with an en-route stop in Utelia. Utelia which was founded by the chieftain of the Vaghela Rajput clan, in the 18th century. Stop at Lothal to visit the museum and the archaeological place giving an opportunity to see the planning of the cities during the Indus Valley Civilization. After the visit, continue to Ahmedabad. On arrival check in to Hotel for Overnight.

DAY 10

After breakfast, our guide will pick you for the sightseeing tour of the leading specialized textile museum of India ‘Calico Museum’. Calico Museum has a rich collection of textile. Also, visit Sabarmati Ashram - On a quiet stretch of the river Sabarmati, 7 km north of the city is the famous ashram set up by Mahatma Gandhi in 1915. The Sabarmati Ashram was the first Satyagraha Ashram set up by Gandhi. Popularly known as the Sabarmati Ashram, it still makes spinning wheels, handicrafts, and handmade paper. Hridaya Kunj, Mahatma Gandhi’s cottage, is preserved as it was during his lifetime. Afternoon, proceed for a tour of elegantly carved 15th century’s Adalaj step-well. Locally known as wavs or baolis, the step-wells are structure unique to North India. The Dada Hari Wav, built in 1501, is supposed to be one of the best wells. A series of steps lead down to the lowest platform revealing a small octagonal well. The well is a fascinating place to visit, as even on the hottest day the interiors remain nice and cool. Later, return to Hotel and stay overnight at hotel.

DAY 11

After Leisurely breakfast tour finish with transfer to the airport for you to board your onward flight.
