To coincide with the release of new British movie, the SECOND Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS has put together this new and exciting private journey that not only takes in some of the sites of this much-talked about film, but also has you staying at locations where the movie was shot based on the availability of the hotels. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is in fact Rawla Khempur, a charming rural palace hotel situated about an hour to the north of Udaipur. Combining this with more famous sites in Delhi, Agra; including the Taj Mahal, Knota castle which featured as Viceroy, Jaipur to explore monuments and bazaar, Jodhpur where Sonny’s marriage took place and Udaipur will give you a great blend of both the mainstream and the offbeat, in one of India’s most colourful locations.

DAY 1

On arrival at the airport, meet your tour manager who will assist you to transfer to the hotel for two nights stay in Delhi.

DAY 2

Enjoy a full-day city tour of Old and New Delhi, visit Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, India Gate, Qutab Minar and explore Chandni Chowk on the rickshaw.

DAY 3

Travel to Agra, visit mighty riverside Agra Fort and the iconic Taj Mahal during sunset. Stay overnight at hotel.

DAY 4

Depart Agra and visit the magnificent city of Fatehpur Sikri. Later continue to Jaipur where most of the movie was filmed. Stay two nights at the hotel.

DAY 5

Today morning visit Amber Fort, City Palace, Observatory and Hawa Mahal. Afternoon free to explore bazaars of Old Jaipur to witness craftsman and artisan at work.

DAY 6

Depart for Khempur and check into The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, AKA Ravla Khempur. And don’t worry although not super luxurious this charming converted palace hotel is a lot more comfortable than the film depicts. Stay overnight at hotel.

DAY 7

Enjoy a walk around the village before traveling a short distance to Udaipur, the Lake City, where you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy this beautiful lakeside town. Stay two nights in Udaipur.

DAY 8

Enjoy a city tour and visit the City Palace, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Jag Mandir before ending the day with a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

DAY 9

After breakfast tour finishes with transfer to Udaipur airport to board the flight for Delhi or Mumbai.
