The city conceals within its bosom the remains of a civilization that flourished over the last five thousand years. Several rulers ruled over Delhi and left behind numerous architectural wonders. Mesmerise yourself in the splendid sightseeing tour of New and Old Delhi tour and witness the legacy of that past which survives in the many monuments left behind by the regents. The ruins speak of the golden tale of the evolution of architectural styles of the times and the synthesis of various cultures and influences. From history to heritage to culture, Delhi’s attractions are plentiful. The land with its endless charm played and is still playing a vital role in the history and politics of India. Stay overnight in Delhi.

DAY 3

This morning leave for Jaipur and enjoy the guided sightseeing tour of the pink city, build 260 years ago by the notable astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh. Here the past comes alive in magnificent forts and palaces, blushed pink, where once lived the Maharajas. Visit the Maharaja's City Palace, the home of the erstwhile royal family, the Observatory, Hawa Mahal also known as Wind Palace built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and drive past the old part of Jaipur city. This fascinating city with its romantic charm takes you to an epoch of royalty and tradition and has plenty of forts and monuments that remind you of the ancient glamour, glory and charm of Rajput rulers. Remaining of the day is free to explore local bazaars, which are known for its embroidered leather shoes, blue pottery, tie and dye scarves and other exotic wares, or relax at your hotel. Stay overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 4

Jaipur was and still remains the only city in the world symbolising the nine divisions of the universe, through nice rectangular sectors sub-dividing it. It is a royal city and its surroundings are rather like an endless museum. The delightfully laid out gardens and parks, attractive monuments and marvellous heritage hotels, which were once the residence of maharajas are worthy of admiration. Take an excursion to Amber Fort; add a magical touch to the visit by riding on the back of an elephant from the foot of the hill up to the gates of the fortress in the manner of former kings and queens. Within the complex, Ganesh Pol, an imposing gateway painted with images of the elephant-headed god, Ganesh takes pride in the place. Also, a part of the complex is the Diwan-I-Aam (Hall of the Public audience) with its spectacular display of pillars. The typical merging of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles is captured in the Sukh Nivas and Jas Mandir apartments, and the Charbagh garden with its perfectly proportioned landscaping. Beyond the ramparts, the old city, once the abode of the aristocracy, has a wonderfully medieval flavour, though it has few buildings of majestic proportion that are still extant. The afternoon is at leisure with an overnight stay in Jaipur.

DAY 5

As the tour progresses, today we travel to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, also known as the abandoned city of Mughals built by Emperor Akbar in 1569. The city was intended to embody the noble ideals and the humanitarian bent of this dynamic emperor. He had planned this city as his capital but the shortage of water compelled him to abandon the city. This deserted city has retained many of the old structures and is one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendour at its height. It is prolific and versatile Indo-Muslim composite style, which is a fusion of the composite cultures of indigenous and foreign origins. The entire city of Fatehpur Sikri has been listed among the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour and interesting birth story of this beautiful city.
